Today’s Monologue

I assume my fellow Harrumphers agree with my belief Democrats in and out of the media have severely damaged the Republican brand. And to be fair, we're not exactly crazy about it, either!

Along those lines, the Trump brand has suffered severe blows from the same damn people. 

Assuming Trump is the Republican nominee for President in 2024, how can toxic brands be overcome? 

Had an idea. I'm looking forward to your comments and contributions below. 

What if Trump, all across the fruited plain, used yard signs, billboards, and commercials differently? Instead of using the Trump name and Republican Party ID up front, what about blasting out short issue statements and burying the lede? Keep the name and Party ID in small letters. 

Democrats may have sullied the Trump and Republican brands, but polls demonstrate voting Americans largely agree with Republicans on the issues. 

Use that advantage. 

Let's blanket the country with issue ID, not name ID. People are smart. They will figure it out. It will eventually become a story because it will be talked about organically. "Did you see all those yard signs? Is there a name on them? What the hell?"
